Captain Morgan
Forever in our hearts
Morgan is Gone
Our
Sad story begins with the best of thoughts.
Known to some as “Fluffy Toes” and the children’s name of “Mo-Mo” – Morgan lightened up our lives for more than 12 years and now he is gone!
Morgan learned to jump on the bed or into the pool, to vault into the back of the car on the command of “load-em up”, to climb on fallen trees in the forest, to bark his distinctive, funny bark when he wanted something, and patiently wait his turn for anything we were willing to handout. “OK” meant it was his turn to go wherever he wanted and to eat whatever he had been given.
As our Family grew, he offered protection to the children and to our house. My command of “Guard Dog “ would wake him out of a sound sleep and jumping on the bed, Morgan would bark and growl until told “it is OK”.
Each of the family has paid a price for Morgan’s attention and his welfare; a leash pull, torn rotator cuff and a damaged thumb from fighting two pit bulls that attacked Morgan. Finally and thru no fault of his own, the terrible hole in our hearts left with his passing.
We have satisfied ourselves that we gave Morgan everything that he ever needed or wanted and in return he gave us the joy and companionship like no other friend that we have ever had.
Morgan will be sadly missed by all.
