Casey
This boy was special. Yes, I know, I have had the privilege and blessed by many dog companions over my 64 years. This guy, Casey (aka DooDoo), was incredibly happy and people-loving (actually loved every living thing - except bees and flies). Did not have a mean, aggressive, or jealous bone in his body. Never once growled or snarled at anyone or anything. To him, life was a adventure and his demeanor always happy. He was a talker, very vocal and even would adjust his tone and volume when appropriate. He wasn't a barker- there's a big difference. His voice added to our laughter and conversations -especially with friends and neighbors or during family gatherings. When he didn't vocalize, his eyes and body movements spoke volumes. He was always enthusiastic for any activity and ready to be a couch potato when his family were quietly together watching TV. He cuddled in the pillows, moving between the headboard and your head to be as close as he could - for about 10 minutes and then he would get too warm and jump off the bed to cool-off. He was healthy and happy for over 10 years. Tragically, he was taken quickly from due to Hemangiosarcoma of the spleen. He wasn't ready to go (he was weak but in no pain). But we had no options other than to say goodbye in a few hours time. We are all heartbroken, but we are grateful he was a member of our family and neighborhood for 10 years. We all love and miss you DooDoo! (even the squirrels down the street)
Remembering and honoring you every day, in many different ways
