Casey, Lilli Skye

How my heart still breaks for my fur kids, the only saving grace is knowing we will meet again.. Casey came to us in 2000 starting me on my love affair of the golden retriever.He was the ultimate social butterfly. He loved working with children as a therapy dog. We lost him in 2009 3 days after his 9th birthday due to an anaplastic carcinoma of the brain barrier. In 2003 we acquired Miss Lilli, my redheaded daughter from another mother. Oh the joy we had playing agility, smart, sometimes to smart vbg. My true heart girl. When we lost Casey, Lilli went into depression. Enter Skye, my vet called me and wanted to introduce us to someone, the someone turned out to be this skinny, scared girl who had no idea what kindness was. How could we say no...Her gotcha day was Oct 2009 a month after losing Casey..Sad to say I lost Skye Jan 27, 2015 to hemo and Miss Lilli 7 days later on Feb. 3, during her life she had 5 different bouts with 3 different types of cancer. What I wouldn't give to have them beside me now. This is why I did not hesitate to enter Twitch as hero #0134.
