Cocoa
Cocoa was hilarious from day one. She always knew what she wanted and that was to run… away, haha. Not because she didn’t like us, but because she just had an innate desire to escape. Early on when we had Cocoa her first memorable story is about a time that we dropped her off at a friends house to be taken care of while we went on a trip. We were chatting in the kitchen when we heard a resounding “thunk.” Cocoa had seen the “open” door, AKA the glass front door, and decided this was her chance to book it. So going full speed ahead she rammed into the glass door, thankfully not cracking the glass or her skull in the process. But, it was pretty funny to see her bounce off of it. (This did nothing to deter her from future escape attempts haha). Some things that Cocoa loves: Mom. Literally the only person that could consistently get her attention. Any other person would more often than not be ignored. Toast. Ripping the stuffing out of stuffed squirrels. Blowing bubbles in her water bowl. Cupcakes. Comfy blankets and pillows (THAT WERE NOT HERS). Sleeping on beds. Being photographed (I hope because that happened a lot, haha). Being pet and scratched on her hindquarters. Playing fetch. Sleeping. Things she was not super enthusiastic about: fireworks. Being picked up. Being left alone. Having her personal space invaded, haha. One of the hardest things I and our family have experienced was letting this wonderful soul go. However, we are consoled in the belief and knowledge that we’ll see her again and she is surely much happier and healthier across the rainbow bridge. Love you Cocoa! ♥️
p.s.The words below were provided by my siblings, so forgive us if they are not very descriptive and just kind of silly haha.
Remembering and honoring you every day, in many different ways
This beautiful dog was a gift! You can see the happy in her eyes. I'm sorry that she went on and didn't live forever. Know that you and your family, made her content and happy. They just leave us too soon .
