Dudley

Forever in our hearts
Dudley, a wonderful, life-loving 10-year-old purebred Golden Retriever, was diagnosed with splenic hemangiosarcoma (an aggressive cancer) in March 2010. Dudley underwent surgery which revealed a fist-sized tumor on his spleen. The spleen was removed and sent for biopsy. The veterinarian also found nodules on his liver, were sent for biopsy as well. Unfortunately, the biopsy results came back as hemangiosarcoma, with a 1 to 3 month survival timeframe. Dudley, has always loved running in his yard retrieving his football and Frisbee. He loved his family and people. Since his diagnosis and surgery, he had been slowed by the daily pain medication, but still had a smile on his face. In June 2010, he crossed the Rainbow Bridge and joined his “sister,” Maggie, our Golden who succumbed to the same cancer at the age of 10 as well. They both remain in my heart forever...
