EDDY

Forever in our hearts
My sweet Eddy! Eddy was in the prime of his life at 7 years old. He was a beautiful and intelligent and most importantly, endearing Golden Retriever hunting and family dog. In July of 2014, at age 7 and a half, he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in his back left leg. In August of last year, he had his leg amputated and we began our fight against OSA. Eddy endured three different types of chemotherapy, as well as study drugs from University of Cali, Davis. We tried everything! Unfortunately, in November of 2014, we discovered the OSA had gone to his lungs. We continued our treatments until January of this year when everything became too much. Eddy had a Grand Mal seizure and we said goodbye to him on January 6, 2015, just 6 days shy of his 8th Birthday. Eddy was the best dog I have ever had and through my grieving these past months, I now know that he was, and will forever be, my heart dog. He had the best soul..he was truly my best friend. Through all of his treatments, he never showed any sadness or discomfort, his tail was always wagging! If love could have saved him, he would never have died. He truly was one in a million and I will miss him forever....
