Forever in our hearts
Ginger was our ray of sunshine and the inspiration for the GingerLead dog support and rehabilitation harness (www.gingerlead.com). We had to say goodbye to her last year over the 4th of July weekend. She started her life with orthopedic problems that led to surgeries for her and also led us to create the GingerLead to help her recover. She faced many difficulties with grace and the best of spirits. In the end, we lost her to cancer. She was almost 12 years old. We also lost her littermate, Wilson, to cancer when he was 10. They were both wonderful companions - sweet, happy and full of love. Our latest Golden Retriever, Jake, is hero dog #2699 in the Morris Animal Foundation's lifetime study. We hope Jake and the other hero dogs can help improve the future for many dogs. Thank you to Morris Animal Foundation for all the good that you are doing!
