Girly Girl (Nita's Girlygirl)

My first dog as a grown up. My first greyhound. My heart dog. I only got 3 1/2 years to spend with her before she lost her battle to osteosarcoma. She had an amputation and chemo which bought us some precious extra months. But it wasn't anywhere near enough time. She lived the same way she died, fiercely loving those she chose, steel cored and courageous. When I had to let her go across that bridge, most of my heart went with her. Till we meet again my steel core magnolia. My poopy-doo. My one and only sweet pea.
