Glacier
Forever in our hearts
My best buddy, Glacier, was incredible. He taught me how to take of a companion when I had no idea. He was a border collie mix that was white. He had black spots on his ears and one ear was always down. Everyone commented on them, but his most amazing feature was his ability to be so playful, even with his two cases of cancer. His first one appeared on his snout and the doctor recommended that we remove half of his nose. Didn't do it because he was an amazing Frisbee/ball catcher. He also had diabetes and eventually the cataracts blinded him, but he was still able to retrieve a ball and Frisbee. His second bout was the one that finally got him as it was a blood cancer that started in his spleen. Once we got it diagnosed, it took him pretty quickly. He was my constant companion and he got to go swim in Lake Michigan and the Pacific Northwest and a lot of places in-between. He was a gentle with kids but could play forever. He has spoiled me for all other dogs, but after him, I believe that I will always have a companion animal. Glacier was with me for 12 years and made it through his illnesses for 3 of those years. He will always have a large part of my heart. I miss you buddy!
