Gracie Lou, Mia, and Bruno

Forever in our hearts
We got Bruno and Mia as puppies, siblings, never separated, always together. They loved each other, read each others thoughts, were so much fun and smart, typical bouncy boxers full of wiggles and wags. Mia got Hermangia Sarcoma, after removing her spleen, she lived for 4 more months this was at age 4.. way too soon for us and Bruno. Bruno died 6 years later of lymphoma. He missed his sister but we rescued Gracie Lou the month before Mia died, she was 8 months at the time. They lived happily and together stacking like boxers and playing bite the face and 'bear boxing' until Bruno died, and Gracie lou died at age 9 of Brain Cancer. Although our boxers all had cancer and died, making the dogs sad and our house empty we got another boxer. Rescued Annie ( age 4) now graces our home with her wiggles and slobber, and for the moment Cancer Free. A mast cell tumor the size of a pea was removed this spring with good margins. Hopefully a cure , a DNA cure, for cancer in dogs will lead to the cure of all Cancers, Canine and Human. Photo from left to right.. Gracie Lou, Mia, and Bruno with his eyes shut... silly boy.
