Gunner
Forever in our hearts
I wanted a German Shepherd all my life. After watching the dogs work after 9/11 I decided I couldn't wait any longer. I was so lucky to find Gunner as puppy and bring him in to my home with my wonderful Rhodesian Ridgeback, Darby, and Jack Russell, Roz. They both loved him. He was a great watch dog yet gentle with family members and very attached to me. He was so beautiful that I would look at him daily and count myself so blessed to have this beautiful dog in my family. Gunner had a number of medical issues including pancreatic insufficiency, skin issues and later degenerative disc disease. With the help of great veterinarians, Gunner lived a happy and active life until he was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 10. At that time I knew that my wonderful companion and great friend could not suffer and I had to let him go. He was a treasure that I was lucky enough to have for 10 years and I am extremely grateful for my time with him.
