Haley

Forever in our hearts
My amazing golden retriever, Haley, developed tumors and one had burst. She was bleeding internally. She was given only a few days. We were getting ready for a trip to Europe that had been planned for awhile. I spent every minute with her thinking she was going to pass away before we left. She came back strong, started eating again and her abdomen swelling went down. I thought she might make it til her 10th birthday which was 2 months away. The day before we got back from our trip she got very sick again and stopped eating. The very day I got back from Europe she really was suffering and struggled to breath. I was set to have her put down at home the next morning. That evening she put her head down on my arm and passed away! i was so happy she waited until I got home to be with her. It was so difficult to watch her suffer so much. I cried for days. She was always there to greet me at the door. She was my baby who never left my side! Haley loved all people and always had a smile! I struggle every day not having her here. This was my 3rd golden lost to cancer. I want another but am so afraid of losing another!
