Harley

Forever in our hearts
Harley was my best friend! He went everywhere I did, even college. As a matter of fact, he was so popular that everyone knew him by name. He even made the Hiwassee College year book. I have so many fond memories of my Harley. I could be having the worst day and he would always make things better! Harley was quite a character! He was a world traveler, a great judge of character and love to show his authority with people over me. Throughout the 15 years of his life with me, he brought so much joy and love to my life. In 2012, Harley was diagnosed with stomach cancer. He woke up one morning throwing up and this is where we began to start a short battle with cancer! Harley's doctor, stated that he could see a foreign substance and suggested exploratory surgery. I had a hard time with this because I knew with his age if things turned out bad, that I would have just put him through this only have to say good-bye. I did not want to force anymore unwanted pain upon my baby. I brought Harley home and based upon his demeanor and physical appearance, I decided it was time to say my final good-byes to my precious boy. My heart was broken, I did not know how my days would be without my best friend. However, I do have his son Chase and Harley's grandson Tate. His legacy will forever live on in his off-springs. They too, bring me so much joy! Tate, looks just like him. In loving memory of my best friend Harley Davidson Hoover Howard. 4-12-96 3-4-2012
