Harriet
Forever in our hearts
Harriet was a brown tabby from the Tacoma Pierce County Humane Society. I didn't go there looking for a cat, but she waved at me through the bars of a cage and, well, we were together for 18 years. She had a torn ear and a burn scar on her back. She had a great big underbite. She lost most of her teeth over the years. Some would say she was not pretty, but I thought she was gorgeous. She died in June at the age of 20, after renal failure finally claimed her. She was best friends with my German Shepherd Dog, and she never met a person or dog she didn't love. My Shepherd and I miss her terribly. She was the best cat I ever had.
