Jack Daniels

My son choose Jack Daniel's when he turned 10 years old. As a puppy he had the perfect high energy level to keep up with an active 10 year old guy. Jack Daniel's loved everyone and every other animal, like most golden retrievers. Jack made us laugh EVERY day and he was constantly with us, usually positioned right under our feet. My son has the misfortune that his birthday is September 11th, a dark day for America which is re-visited by the news media every Sept 11th. We got an unexpected surprise from Jack Daniels. When Jack's registration papers showed up, HIS birthday was Sept 11th too! From then on, September 11th is an even more joyful event in our family as both my son and Jack Daniel's celebrated their shared birthday. Sadly, we lost Jack Daniel's at a young 9 years old- cancer, the scourge of many breeds, but especially golden retrievers. Three years later we still tell stories about Jack Daniel's and laugh at all his antics. He was THE BEST DOG our family has ever had the privilege to know (and we have had a LOT of treasured pets).
