Jeoffry
Forever in our hearts
When we adopted Jeoffry in 1999, he was one year old. Some neighbors moved away and abandoned him. We had never owned a cat but he taught us to be good cat owners. He played, ate and slept with us for 15 years. He went with us on trips to the Rocky Mountains. When we moved back to SC from Missouri, he adapted well and became the master of 3 acres. He adopted another cat (Jack) and the two were great pals. When Jack was killed by a car, we began to take Jeoffry outdoors on a leash twice a day. He adapted to the leash. In 2011, Jeoffry developed an enlarged heart and had to begin taking Atenolol. In the summer of 2014, he began to have skin lesions; then he stopped eating and drinking. We took him to a pet emergency center. They hydrated him and their examination found that he had lymphoma which could not be treated because of his heart condition. We had to have him euthanized on August 4, 2014. He will always hold a special place in our hearts.
