Jumpin' Jack Flash
Look at me - I've got wheels! Jack came flying into our lives through Golden Re-Triever Rescue. He was a highly energetic boy with such a love of life. He was in 2 homes before he landed in ours as a foster dog. My husband fell madly in love with him and announced on Christmas Day that his gift to Jack was a permanent home with us. Jack failed two obedience classes. He refused to conform and follow rules. A real challenge he was. He had such a twinkle in his eye - you just knew he was up to no good, and he usually was. Cancer also took Jack from us. He was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in one of his rear legs. Amputation of the limb and chemotherapy followed. He handled it like a champ, never a sick day. We had wheels made for him so he could continue on our daily walks - everybody would smile and wave when he saw us. Sometimes the stinker would even lift his legs and coast down hills like he was on a skateboard! I know he's running free and happy at the bridge, still as impish as ever.
