Kato and F

Our beautiful Akitas, Kato was an AKC Champion in 1992, She was bred and produced a litter with cranial nerve deficits. Her gorgeous long hair son, F, was born during the OJ trial and was named after guess who! Both died in their 13th year, and were our wonderful family guardians and companions for so many years. They both loved the Pugs and played Pugball often in the yard. Kato, like our current one Sushi, was a prolific hunter and caught voles by sound under the snow in Vermont. F never quite mastered it, but he tried. When Kato died and F had to take over as the alpha dog he was very worried he could not fill his Mom's shoes. But he did his best with joy and fortitude.
