Keeperdog
Forever in our hearts
I believe there are old souls. Souls that have been here and done that before. Keeperdog was such a soul. I really didn't train him. He seemed to just know. We were together only 10 years. But what a grand time we had. I met my husband at 49. I'd never been married before. When John first met Keeperdog they were pals. All my time spent with keeper (agility, flyball, walks) went by the wayside. They were bonded at the hip. I knew John was a good guy because Keeper said so lol.
Johns family was a dog family and suddenly Keeperdog had cousins. His last years were awesome. Playing in the lake, relaxing in the sun, and walks everyday with his Dad.
He started to stumble. We thought it was hip problems. We took him to purdue university vet hospital. The MRI showed brain tumor. My big 6'9" husband bawled like a baby. With four doctors there, we decided to try to give him so more time. But it wasn't to be. We lost him a year and a half ago. My heart still hurts.
We did get two dogs. Annie the lab and Fred the golden retriever. Yes, they are loved. But Keeper will always be my wonderful wonderful boy. My thanks to the vets at Purdue. They were wonderful to us...and to Keeperdog, I truly loved you, you big lughead, I hope and pray we meet again
