Kodiak
Forever in our hearts
Someday would be the right time to get a Boxer.... But, You, Kodiak, the Chow Chow, were the special one that walked up our driveway at 5 months old and picked us! You were as special as that moment! You taught me about dogs. You survived bloat at 7 years old. You survived oral melanoma at 9 1/2. Thanks to excellent veterinarians, timing and luck. You conquered them and returned at 100%. During your 14th year, you developed an intestinal blockage. The day before you walked to and from the park leash free on your own accord. The walks had gotten slower, but you so enjoyed them. The day before your life was good. We thank God for every day that you were with us! We loved you so and still do! Losing you is still hard. You had a group of humans and neighbors that met on Sundays for 12 years. The last one passed away recently at 15. Take care of Penny, Kodi. All of the Baronridge dogs and your buddy Astro are in heaven with you now. So are your kitties, Puff and Boomer. After you had to go, we could not stand the silence. Five months later, a chow found us. And two months later, a border collie. We now have two to love. That was the best way to honor you. I hope you know that you are in our hearts. And I hope the two I have now talk to you and tell you that we are okay.
