Lacey

Forever in our hearts
Our sweet Lacey battled cancer not once, but twice in her life. She had stage 2 mast cell tumors removed when she was 5 and we were told she only had a year to live. She beat the odds and lived a happy life until the age of 13. At that time, we had to make the difficult decision to have her front left leg amputated due to what we were first told was osteosarcoma. She went through several months of chemo and was happy and energetic throughout the whole process, becoming quite fast on her three legs. She was playful and happy right up until the end. At 13 years and 8 months we had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to our sweet girl due to internal bleeding which we had since been told was caused by hemangiosarcoma. September 12 would have been her 15th birthday and not a day goes by that we don't think of her. We love you and miss you so much Lacey!!
