Lexi
Forever in our hearts
Lexi was my third Golden Retriever. We did everything together. She got her Conformation Championship at 19 months old. She got her CD at 20 months old. We started agility when she was three and she had numerous titles in agility…… BUT the thing we loved best was working with children. She and I worked with Special Ed and Head Start children from the time she was three till a couple of months before she died. She was the gentlest, kindest , most loving dog I will ever know. The difference she made in the lives of the children she worked with was amazing. She not only touched and changed the lives of the children; she also changed the lives of the children’s families. As long as any of them are alive Lexi will live too.
She died of Lymphoma, at 11, with her head in my lap. There will never be another like her. I miss her every day. LEXI 7/24/03 - 7/29/14
