Liberty
Forever in our hearts
Jersey ' s Lady Liberty "LIBBY" was born 9/30/01 a beautiful ray of light at a very sad time for our country. Libby spent every moment of her life with us (she was born in our bedroom). Libby was the most loving and most lovable girl. She was so full of life. We feared when we lost her mom to cancer in 2012 that Libby wouldn't make it without her, they were sooo attached, but she fooled us all and actually did great. She loved ice cubes, food (especially pasta), rolling in the grass & sleeping in bed with us. She did everything full speed ahead & still played like a pup. We thought she'd be with us for years....one day she woke & could barely stand, the vet said it was vestibular disease. A shot & some meds and she was back to herself in just a few days. Six mos later another episode but it took her longer to recover this time, but she did. The vet recommended an MRI (just to be sure) so off to Auburn we went...that was in Jan 2015. During the pre-testing the discovered a large mass on her thorax. Libby was gone 2 mos later. We buried her next to her mom & miss her every day. It's still hard to believe she's gone...We love her so much!!!
