Lucy

Forever in our hearts
Lucy was my heart and soul dog. I lost her just 6 days shy of her 10th birthday. She fought courageously and very sadly lost her battle to osteosarcoma. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of her fondly and wish she were here. She was a tremendous herding dog and was ranked number 1 in Canada for her breed during the years she competed. She loved to cuddle and she loved to go for walks. Her presence in our house is greatly missed by the rest of our pack. Her favourite past time, next to herding was swimming - boy did she love to swim. I knew the end for Lucy would be difficult and I promised her I would not let her go alone and that when she was ready, we would take those last steps together as we always had when she was well. Lucy and I did everything together - I know she is watching out for me from above.
