Luke Hero #1023
Luke loved everyone he ever met. If you made eye contact with him, but didn't come pet him immediately, he would woof at you until you did. He adored all of the staff at Concord Veterinary Hospital and couldn't wait to go see all his buddies there and chortle at them. He was famous for his Wookie sounds. He loved learning new things and was good at obedience and rally. His favorite thing in the world, though, was doing scent work. He thought getting to sniff and then getting treats for it was the best thing ever. The last thing he ever did was earn his Master Elite title. Just 5 days later, he woke up and couldn't move his legs. The eventual diagnosis was disco spondylitis, but was complicated by a slipped disc and another herniated disc at the same location in his neck. Though the UTVMC tried their best, he simply wasn't able to overcome it all. They took such good care of him and came to love him for his sweet nature and ready smile. Luke was my best friend. I will miss him forever.
Remembering and honoring you every day, in many different ways
