Luna

In every animal lover’s life, there fall a few that are more special than the rest. For me, that was Luna. She raised our children, got me through the tough times inevitable when starting a career and raising a young family. She was there whenever we needed her, and she seemed to understand those times better even than we did. She protected us, counseled us and comforted us. When the time came, after 14 years together, that cancer finally found her, the loss of her presence was made even more acute by the loss of my mother on the same day. We all found solace in the belief that the two of them were together, something that was difficult in life due to my mother’s allergies. We think of both of them frequently, and their spirits are very much with us. We loved you girl.
