Maggie

Forever in our hearts

My sweet Maggie crossed the Rainbow Bridge and gained her angel wings on 2/1/25 after a short battle with liver cancer. She was my little shadow. Every aspect of my day involved her. She was the first thing I would see waking up. Her cute little head would be resting on my pillow (she took up a majority of it and sometimes my head ended up on the nightstand lol) She would always follow me into the bathroom, played "rolly ball" when I would be blow-drying my hair, "working out" with me downstairs, sharing snacks, helping me with chores (licking plates going into dishwasher, eating cheese when I made my sandwiches), sampling dinner to make sure it was appropriate for us humans to eat, going on vacation to Cape Cod. She was always excited when her mom and dad came home even if we were only gone for a few minutes. She greeted us at the door with her piggy squealing and wiggle butt. In fact she greeted most people that way. Everyone loved that about her. Miss Maggie loved to watch TV. Some of her favorite shows that she would watch in their entirety were The Middle and Lucky Dog. I remember the day we brought her home as a puppy she enjoyed watching Finding Nemo. Lol thats when I knew TV would be one of her favorite hobbies. She loved to scroll through FaceBook and Instagram while we lay in bed waiting to get tired enough to fall asleep. Her favorite season was summer. She like to sit on the deck in the morning while mom had coffee. She was also quite the fish. Maggie enjoyed swimming in the pool with mom. She always stared me down until I let her go in and would be upset if I made her go inside. If she wasn't swimming she was enjoying catching some sun while rolling in the grass. She didn't mind winter either. She liked to help mom build snowmen, by trying to eat the snowballs. Once the snowman was finally complete she would try and steal their stick arms or carrot face then proceed to give the snowman the evil eye. She was quite the character. She loved to roll in the snow even though mom thought she was crazy since it was so cold. Her favorite holiday was Christmas because Santa spoiled her (not that she wasn't spoiled with tons of toys throughout the year). Christmas was when she received the largest quantity of toys at a time. She loved her doggy birthday cakes and would share them with her doggy siblings and friends. Miss Maggie moo moo, we will miss you so much. I can go on and on about you. There aren't enough things that can be said about you. You had the most amazing personality and such soulful eyes. There will never be another dog like you. I swear sometimes you acted like a little human. Thank you for giving your mom and dad the best 8 almost 9 years. You will never be forgotten my sweet angel. Momma loves you to the moon and back. (2/25/16-2/1/25)
