Maggie Demaree

Maggie Demaree April 11, 2002 - July 2, 2014 Our dear Maggie died suddenly three weeks ago. She had been a bit slower that day, but had been playing and running...as usual. She collapsed suddenly. We rushed her to the ER, but were told that she had hermangiosarcoma and had bled into her abdomen and lungs. Apparently, it is difficult to diagnose. We had been very observant and reported changes. We had been to the vet two weeks before her death. She looked great and seemed happy most of the time. Slowing down and being a bit off balance was attributed to her arthritis and old age. We are heartbroken. But, enough about her last day. Most people are proud of their pets; so we aren't much different than other people. But, Maggie was extraordinary, amazing, and very special (Lab / Airedale mix). She was extremely smart, funny, loving, a bit of a clown, and ornery. :-). We had a connection stronger than I've had with any other pet. We could communicate without words. She seemed to know us and what we were thinking. She understood so many words, knew when we were teasing, and teased us back. :-). She even got to have overnights with grandpa! :-). We love and miss you, Maggie bear! Daddy, Mommy, Abby, and Raven
