Nala
Forever in our hearts
2. Years ago this Lanor Day weekend we got the devastating news our 4 year old Golden had lymphoma. She had been acting a little lethargic and I had noticed swelling in her neck so I took her to the vet. After the initial despair our family launched into attack mode to give our beautiful girl a chance. We met with Dr Romanistk at NEVOG who was wonderful and had hope to get Nala into remission . Within in the first 2 weeks Nala was in full remission and fully herself. We were elated and thankful that she had no negative reaction to her chemo treatments. We did all the things she loved to do and were so grateful for every day.the lymphoma sadly returned around Christmas and Nala started a different round of chemo. We could not get her into remission and sadly she lost her battle on Feb 1, 2014. Even though 1 1/2 years have passed I still miss our beautiful girl. She loved to swim and go on long walks where she would find a huge stick to carry as her trophy. She amazed anyone who happened to cross our paths while walking. She loved playing in the snow too. She loved children and would always sit so they could pay her. I'll never understand why she had to die so young but will always treasure the 4 1/2 years she was on our family.
