Napoleon
Forever in our hearts
I adopted Napoleon when he was about 3 years old. He was part of my family for about 10 years. At his passing, he was about 12 years old. About a year ago he was diagnosed with Kidney Disease and Intestinal Bowel Disease. I tried my best to keep both diseases under control. I really thought I would have more time with him, but on Sunday, Aug. 24th, he became so weak and unstable. I rushed him to the vet. He had perforations from his intestines that started leaking intestinal fluids into other parts of his body. My options were limited. The very kind Vet guided me to the decision that I should put him to rest. So I did. They wrapped him in a blanket and gave him to me and I held him while the vet did the injections. It was extremely painful.
Napoleon was a great cat both in size, fur and personality. He was so gentle and never got worked up about much. He would just go with the flow. I miss him very much.
