Paddy
Paddy was our first dog. We rescued him from a county shelter. He had heartworms and kennel cough. We spent our 20th wedding anniversary at NC State University so they could treat his heartworms, he almost died from the treatment and they saved his life. Paddy was such a sweet dog and very grateful to us. He was about 6 when we adopted him. At age 12, which he was in the picture and this is just days before I found his lymph nodes swollen, he developed lymphoma. We treated him but he was weakened by the treatment. He died just 5 months after finishing the treatment. We miss him everyday still. We have 2 more dogs now, one a Samoyed purchased from a breeder, but we just recently rescued another dog, a chow/Samoyed mix, age 8 or 12. Our rescue dog reminded me of Paddy, at kill shelter with days to live so to honor Paddy we saved him. Paddy will always be our special dog as he was our first and he loved us and we him with our whole hearts.
Remembering and honoring you every day, in many different ways
