Polly

Forever in our hearts
Precious Polly, our four-legged miracle; we have been forever blessed by the love you brought to our family for ten years, one month, and seventeen days…AND, we will be forever grateful for those last two SYMPTOM-FREE years following your Stage 4 mammary cancer diagnosis. It was already in your lungs and the vet told us you probably wouldn’t make it six more months. Yet, with the help of the herbal produce Stasis Breaker, you lived another TWO YEARS, good years, loving and being loved. You were brave, rescuing tennis balls from ocean waves that scared you. You were gentle, loving me through a year of pretty tough cancer treatments. You were the best mama ever to the nineteen children you had in your younger days, bringing happiness into nineteen other families. And I really don’t think I’ll ever stop grieving for you, even though I am SO grateful for the time God gave us together. Speaking of God…your trust and delight in your family, your People, was a living Bible lesson, teaching us how we should relate to our Creator. For just that reason alone, I believe we will see you again. For now, our Heavenly Father surely has you in His loving care. Be at peace, dear canine girl, with no cancer, no pain, no blindness robbing you of your ability to see the precious members of your family who were your whole world (along with tennis balls, of course!). We will love you forever, and have been forever changed by your love.
