Renata

Forever in our hearts
As I try to write about her, I tear up still and it's almost 9 years since we had to let her go. Cancer invaded her little fluffy body and brought her pain that I would have given anything to take away. I do want to remember the happier times though, the love, the personality of that little mutt, we were never sure of what she was but we know she had terrier in her. Strong personality, she did an amazing job at training and loving her humans. She moved thousands of miles from one country to another one with us and was always a faithful companion and a cheerful family member, always willing to join in on the adventures and discoveries in the new place. Renata did not like children or other dogs, she was just used to be the center of attention in her household and she wouldn't share that, but when she gave us "The Look" it was hard to hold it against her. Loyal, smart, loving and beautiful, Renata filled our lives with a joy that we thought we'd never recover when she was gone. But in a spiritual way very unlike me, I know she had a hand... a paw! in sending our current pups, Mateo and Pedro into our lives to make them brighter again.
