Riley
Forever in our hearts
One of the lights of my life, my handsome boy Riley, crossed over the bridge in November, 2010. With a tail in constant motion, he was my best buddy and my constant companion.
Riley was just a happy boy. He was a Champion Show Dog, but he spent most of his time going to dog beaches in San Diego, hiking all the dog trails in Southern California, chasing balls at the local dog parks, running in the canyons with his Labrador buddies….you name it, if there was action – Riley was there, and lovin’ it (and making new friends along the way). I was known as the woman who drove around town with the big, black “bear” in the passenger seat. Just picking up his leash would get his tail wagging, and off we would go on another adventure. As far as Riley was concerned, each and every adventure was more exciting than the last one.
Riley is missed every day. But I was lucky….Riley sired a son, Darby, who inherited so many of his father’s traits, (and a few unique ones all of his own!). Riley’s legacy lives on!
