My sweet Riley. How I miss you. I said goodbye to you one year ago today, September 6, 2014, and my life will never be the same without you. You were my best friend for almost 16 years, and I was so lucky that you chose me that day at the shelter, when you were just a pup. We went thru so much together: long walks, going to the dog park, FlyBall, playing in the snow, keeping all the kitties in line (Panda, Abbott & Princess), and helping me raise our beautiful girl, your human sister Regina. I miss you greeting me each day when I come home, and I miss how you begged for cheerios and oyster crackers at every meal. I miss looking into your sweet eyes, rubbing your soft neck, velvet ears and cute white butt, and kissing your sweet wet nose. I miss laying down at night with you on the floor and going to sleep holding hands. I miss you! I know you're free of your arthritic pain now, but no matter what, you always had that beautiful smile on your face! You made me a better person, and I still don't quite know what to do with myself, but I'm trying to find my way. I know you'll watch over us, and be there waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge someday. I will always love you!
