SamnSara
Forever in our hearts
Sam and Sara came to us in 1997. They were pups to heal my heart after my Golden, Charlie, died. Littermates! We did everything with them. They even had a line of Danish Children's clothing named after them! Sam was the scairdy cat...even the Christmas tree scared him.....his sister Sara was the explorer.....the adventurer.. my heart dog. Sam was so ball crazy we used to have to lock him out of the room whenever we wanted to watch a movie.. so we could hear it! Sara was the cuddler.
They were our agility dogs, our trackers and our obedience dogs. Neither got their titles.. we just did it all for fun. They invited EVERYONE into our home with wags and barks and doggie smiles.
Sam died at age 7 from cancer.. during surgery to remove a tumor from his spleen he bled out and died. I was out of town and hubby and I both had to deal with our grief alone.
Sara died at age 12 from a variety of undiagnosed illnesses that eventually sapped her strength and led to seizures. Hubby and I held her close and told her how much we loved her. Every day at 2:30 I remember her silently.
We miss them both so much! They were such GOOD dogs!
