Samsara

In Memory

Not a fan of people, dogs, lizards, or anything that she couldn't explicitly hunt for sport. Decimator of any vole or mouse who ventured into her territory, she lived a long 22 years with the same family. Once, she had gotten away from us for a whole week. We didn't know where she was, and searched the neighborhoods of downtown Denver for days. On the seventh day, we heard a mewling from within a cavernous concrete hole, barred at the top. We don't think she was in there the whole time based on the amount of noise she was making when we walked by. A ladder and a rescue mission later, she returned home, but changed.

The journey through grief is different for everyone, but we know support, community and sharing stories help make the experience one of remembrance, renewal and even celebration of the life lost. We hope you find comfort in the memorial you’ve set up for your companion and encourage you to share with family and friends so they can show their love and support.
