SARA

Sara was a Bluecream Peke-face Persian. She passed just recently on the 4th of July of this year at the age of 15. She was extremely spoiled and deeply loved. Sara came to me, a clean slate. To make her be anything I wanted her to be. She also came with a guarantee, she would give all that I asked of her. Our relationship was simple and pure. She was free of the conflict, drama, cruelty and disappointment that often damages and scars our connections with people. People are more complicated than animals and so is loving them. She healed me when nothing else could. She supported me and provided me with emotional nourishment of the most basic kind. She could read me with an almost supernatural skill. I opened myself up to her in ways I never have with any person. I trusted her. I shared my home, my bed, my food, my happiest moments, my darkest hours, my tears and my fears with her. Her unconditional love was focused completely on me. She knew me in many ways that no human being has ever known and for every hour of her life, she wished to be near me. She gave me love and someone TO love. She was my most intimate companion, my child I never had and my best friend in the world. My Sara, I will always love and miss you.
