Shelby was my heart. How was I to know she would be my forever dog that would only grace us for six short years.
Her quiet loyalty was never overshadowed by her sassy spunk. Always my shadow but independent in her manner, I knew her face would be in the dining room window every single time I left and returned.
I miss every quality she possessed and still grieve as if she left me yesterday. It’s an open wound. Prisms follow me everywhere and I can only pray Shelby is with me.
