Sonny

Our dear Sonny, aka Sunshine, passed away 2 weeks ago on 9/12/22.  Even though he had some health issues and we knew it would come, he left a huge hole in our lives and broken hearts.  He was my dog soulmate and "kid" since I never had my own kid and he was my only dog in my adult life.  He came in to the shelter where I was volunteering on the one day of the week I was there so it was definitely fate.  And Sonny was our little "sidekick" at home and most everywhere we went.  He loved to go for long walks in his jogging stroller with me pushing him.  He couldn't walk that far so it worked well for us.  We even bought a travel trailer so we could take him on trips with us--we even took a two week trip out west to Glacier National Park and Yellowstone and other parks and we all had a blast!  We also went to Florida with him in the RV and saw some relatives and friends.  He was such a great traveler!

So now we are living without him although I wonder how the sun rises or sets without him being here.  But we will always treasure his memory and he will always be with us in our hearts.  We love you and miss you dear Sunshine.
