Spirit of Freedom
Spirit came to me when I was hurting and needed someone to help me want to live again, she was my hero. She was always doing such funny things to cheer me up, make my days happy and keep me in good spirits. She became my service dog after a year and a half of training but to be honest, she really didn't need training as she was a natural at feeling what I needed (and giving it to me) at any given time from almost day one.
Spirit had a heart so big that she brought joy to everyone she met. Her personality was so laid back and spirited at the same time. She liked to hunt plastic bags blowing down the street, play with friends, chase balls and friends, and dress up for Christmas and Halloween, however, her favorite time was cuddling with me on the couch. She always made me smile and would never allow me to cry alone, (she actually would cry with me at times) she would comfort me and allow me to cry into her furry neck while I held on for dear life. I miss her terribly and will never forget her quirky ways, her unconditional love, loyalty, compassion, and her companionship.
My Spirit was more than just a family pet she was my lifeline and my whole world. She protected me from the bad things and made sure I was happy and when I wasn't, she went above and beyond to make me smile again. I will always remember my best friend, my furbaby, my Spirit of Freedom for she gave me the freedom to get out into the world and live again. She was my hero and although I have a new furbaby she will NEVER take the place in my heart that Spirit holds that is her place forever. I will meet you again one day Spirit over the rainbow bridge until that day I hope you and the others are chasing balls, running, and playing until your heart is content. I love you Spirit.
Remembering and honoring you every day, in many different ways
