Survivor
It is with deep sadness, (mostly) fond memories and a treasure trove of “Survivor Stories” guaranteed to entertain at cocktail parties - that we say good-bye to our cat, (who thought he was a dog) Survivor - just before he turned 18. It is a long time to be with another being, so our hearts are sad. Our puppy still is searching for her play mate, looking for his furry paws underneath doors, and trying to find his leftover food.
If you knew him, you know he had character. If you have heard some of the stories, you know that he rallied back from the brink of death more times than cats should be allowed. If you have endured our stories at a party; if you fed him or gave him treats; if you entertained him unexpectedly in your home or laughed/scolded after him as he made your dog run away in fear; if you played with him when you were a kid; if you petted this purring machine when you visited us; or if you were the recipient of any of the lizards or birds he thought should live inside - thanks for being a part of his Village.
His water bowl said “Dog” for a reason. He lived up to his name….Survivor, you will be missed.
Remembering and honoring you every day, in many different ways
