Sweetee
Forever in our hearts
Sweetee was born in a puppy mill, he was a product of over breeding and was born with out eyes. Sweetee was a Pybald Doxie. We adopted him when he was barely 1 years old. We live in a two story house and when we got him home we looked at the stairs and him and said oh no. However he just ran up the stairs and down with no cares. We have a large yard with lots of trees and bushes but fenced in. Over time with the help of his brother Harrison Beagle he navigated the yard without ever running into trees, bushes or the fence. He was a marvel in winter just trudged thru the snow blazing his own trails. He loved toys and cuddling in bed with us at night. Had a ravenous appetite. He inspired us to adopted Danni and black and tan Doxie who was also a puppy mill survivor and blind. In Sweetee's 10th year his enzyme levels went sky high, a tumor was found. We took him to an oncologist who put him on chemo pills everyday for 10 months. They were delivered to us from Arizona in dry ice. At the 10 month level it was determined the tumor was operable and he was fit for the surgery. The surgeon called to say they were able to remove the now pea size tumor, the surrounding lymph glands were clean, no spread to major organs and he was delighted. As he delivered this news on the phone, Sweetee threw a blood clot and instantly died. We miss him and hope we loved him enough to make up for his start in life. We were the blessed ones his lucky parents to be loved by him.
