Tahoe

Forever in our hearts
Tahoe was a dream furbaby from the beginning. I was given the "pick of the litter" in August 2004 by a friend and the moment I saw her sweet chubby face and body, I knew she was the one. Tahoe was Lab/Australian Shepherd mix. I took her home when she was only 8 weeks old and I thought it was to early to separate her from her birth mom so I took her with me to work everyday. She continued to be with me at work for the next 3 months. The first day I left her at home alone I cried all the way to work. The separation anxiety of a mom. She was so smart and one of the kindest dogs I have ever seen. She would work cattle, retrieve birds, and play fetch until she was exhausted. Through the years she was momma's good girl and always happy to see me. In March I went outside to check on her and our other dog Lil' Guy as I do everyday when I come home from work. I found sweet Tahoe by her dog house on her side and she had already left this earth. I am not sure what happened and it's only speculation but we think as does my veterinarian, she may have had a stroke. I chose not to do an autopsy since nothing could bring her back. Instead I laid her to rest in the backyard by her favorite tree and doghouse. There is a stone plaque on the tree that reads, "Tahoe - 2004 - 2015, Thank you God for loaning me this beautiful girl. Let her rest with angels."
