Taliesyn

Forever in our hearts
Talie was the sweetest little dachshund. So delicate and feminine. And such a character. She loved to steal metal things and chew them up. I always worried she would break teeth, but she never did. She was a fierce hunter and would bring her catches into the family room to show them off. We soon learned to look before stepping. At 8 years old, she wrenched her back after chasing her sister off the deck. After a major back surgery that made her look like Frankenstein, she recovered the ability to walk although with a little hitch in her gait. In later years, she gradually slowed down and suffered from crippling arthritis. I bought a child's wagon for her and we went for walks. The neighbors loved seeing her. Her disabilities never got her down and she always had a doggie smile and a wave of her beautiful plumed tail for everyone. She's still my little Doodle-bug and I miss her every day.
