Tobby
Tobby was a queen, majestic, proud, with a model's stride and beautiful emerald eyes. We found her in a bush in our garden as a tiny kitten after hearing her crying for two days. We bottle fed her and raised her to be the most beautiful and spoiled furry girl. She was sweet and loving, sleeping on her mom's chest or belly, purring, head butting, doing the "sweet eyes", but could also show contempt to people and other animals by turning her back and upright tail or hitting with a paw. She would accompany her dog-brother on our walks, deviating to explore fields and pavements. She loved to sit on top of the microwave oven and of course hated car rides (she cried all the way to the vet's). She ate in a dainty way and hid under the sofa when there was a storm. She moved house twice with us and gave us a hard time adjusting but soon made it clear that she was the mistress of the place and had her own favourite spots. Her smooth fur, ringed tail, pink nose, little mouth, the conversations we had with meaningful meowing, her playfulness and languid moods, her arrogant poise and tender warmth, are all greatly missed. She left us after nine years of deep love and communication after a brief illness. It was a great shock to the whole family, but we still feel her close, brushing us with her fur, calling us with her cute liitle greeting meows, looking at us playfully. We will always love you Tobby, you are purring in our hearts and we'll definitely meet at the rainbow bridge!
Remembering and honoring you every day, in many different ways
