Toby

Forever in our hearts
I lost my little Toby in 2011. He was only 4 when he died of collapsed trachea, a genetic disease that didn't allow him too breathe and over time made it impossible for him to lead a quality life. As sad as I was when he passed, I will be forever thankful for having him in my life and giving me the chance to learn all about puppy mills. If his breeder would have showed any care for the well being of his dogs, he would have never bred sick animals to begin with. I am glad to report he went out of business for selling too many sick animals. Toby's passing also gave me the opportunity to adopt Lyla, an 8 year old Maltese (now 12) who was a mill mom for her first 8 years of her life. Lyla is also a cancer survivor, having been diagnosed in September 2014 with grade 2 soft tissue sarcoma. She successfully went through surgery and 19 rounds of radiation therapy and is now cancer free.
