Toulouse Vincent

Forever in our hearts
I found my beloved little guy when this tiny, little, filthy, longhaired, dark gray kitten came out of nowhere and dropped himself right on the ground between me and my car as I was walking across the parking lot on my way home. He was a sickly little thing; underweight, eye infection, and truly filthy but the friendliest little man I have ever known. Not only had he come up to me, but he immediately showed me his tummy, “making bread” in the air and purring wildly. I took him home, cleaned him up, got him medication for his eye and ear infections and got him properly fed. He was the friendliest kitten I have ever known and just wanted to be friends with everyone from day one - humans, cats, dogs, you name it! Never cowered, hissed, or was afraid of anything! Then one day, he got sick. When we took him to the vet to see what was going on, he was diagnosed with FIP and we lost this wonderful little guy to this disease when he was only 8 months old. I miss him every day and sincerely hope that a cure or at least a vaccine can be found for this awful, debilitating disease, so that no one else has to go through what Toulouse and I went through fighting and ultimately loosing the battle to this horrible killer. I was blessed to have this wonderful little guy in my life and only wish I could have had him just a little longer...
