Walter
Forever in our hearts
We were blessed with the addition of Walter to our family in December, 1996. He was a very good boy, about 5 months old. An American Bulldog. He loved to ride in the truck or car. We got him a red plastic ball, about the size of a bowling ball. He loved to push it around the property. He would have been a great soccer player, if he would have know the purpose of the game. He would dodge and weave and drive the ball all over the property. We also had Jackie, a mix of Basset Hound and something else. They grew up together. They did a lot of things together. Walter used to drag Jackie around by her face. Then he would stop and let Jackie drag him around by his face. But she couldn't because he was bigger than she, but she tried mightily. He died one day while we were out visiting my brother. He was having so much fun and ran for a couple hours and then his heart gave out for lack of oxygen. I still have a hard time with his death after 14 years, but we are better off having know him and Jackie. I thank God for them every day.
