Winston
Forever in our hearts
Winston lived to be 20 years old. He adopted me when he was a tiny kitten, having crawled up the sleeve of my green shirt, kitty needle claws puncturing, and leaving little blood spots all the way up my arm. Upon arriving on my shoulder, he licked my hear lobe, then bit it. It was love at first bite. But that's not the only thing that made him so very special. He had CATITTUDE! As an only cat for three years, when I brought home a kitten Winny totally ignored me for an entire year. After several kitten rescues later, he must have decided I was nuts, and he became my buddy once more. Several years on, after a deeply changing personal event, I became very depressed. I credit Winny and my then canine companion Loki, also memorialized on this site, for saving me from my despair. It was as if God put the two of them in my life just for this moment. I will always treasure Winny and Loki for helping me through a very, difficult time. May they both rest in peace and enjoy the good health of youth at the other side of the Rainbow Bridge, where I hope to see them both, and other companion animals also there, when my time comes to meet my maker.
